Baseball Recap: Tulelake Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Tulelake dropped their record down to 10-15 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They fell 11-7 to the Weed Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Monday.

Osbaldo Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Kevin Larsen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

As for Weed, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

On Weed's side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Keen, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Keen has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Hosino, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

As of now, neither Tulelake nor Weed have any future games scheduled.
