Volleyball Recap: Franklin Victorious

Franklin posted their closest win since October 19, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Venture Academy Mustangs 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Franklin had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Ma'Liyah Haynes paced Franklin's offense, picking up four kills. Haynes got some help from Lexie Shobert and her eight assists. Tonatzin Soria controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Franklin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Venture Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
