The Lighthouse Christian Lions will be taking part in a tournament against the Malad Dragons at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lighthouse Christian knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Malad likes a good challenge.

Brennan Ford was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Ford was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lighthouse Christian got a massive performance out of Berkley Hills, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Xander Ramirez, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Malad entered their tilt with Glenns Ferry on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Pilots 15-1. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Dragons this season.
