Football Game Preview: Greenup County Musketeers vs. Blazer Tomcats

Greenup County hasn't had much luck against Blazer recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Musketeers will head out on the road to face off against the Tomcats at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Greenup County turned things around against Fleming County on Friday. They breezed past the Panthers to the tune of 52-14. The Musketeers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Blazer got themselves on the board against Russell on Friday, but Russell never followed suit. They blew past the Red Devils 42-0. Considering the Tomcats have won three contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Blazer now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Greenup County, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Greenup County took a serious blow against Blazer when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 51-12. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Musketeers were down 29-6.
