Basketball Game Preview: Marianna Bulldogs vs. Walton Braves

Having just played yesterday, the Marianna Bulldogs will get right back to it and host the Walton Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marianna is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.9 points per game this season.

Marianna will head into Friday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 69-45 loss courtesy of Florida State University High School. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kenyon Holden, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Barnes, who had six points.

Meanwhile, Walton lost to Crestview at home by a 46-32 margin on Monday. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Marianna's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
