Football Recap: Sneads Skates Past FAMU DRS with Ease + How To Watch

Sneads had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 47-8 win over the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Pirates had established a 33-point advantage.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to TyShawn Travis and Jacob Gilcrease. Travis rushed for 100 yards and one score on only five carries while Gilcrease rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Sneads was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 488 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 221 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Sneads didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ronterrious Atkins.

Sneads' victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for FAMU DRS, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Sneads will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Bay Haven Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for FAMU DRS, they will take on Harvest Community at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Baby Rattlers will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
