Volleyball Recap: Vanden Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Vanden had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top against the River City Raiders by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory didn't come easy: River City scored at least 22 points in every set. The final score came out to 28-26, 27-25, 21-25, 25-22.

Ifeanyi Onwuazombe paced Vanden's offense, picking up 13 kills. Onwuazombe got some help from Tavas Spencer and his 32 assists. Finally, Alex Lam kept Vanden's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Vanden's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for River City, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Vanden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Vacaville on the 19th. River City has also already played their next matchup (against Rodriguez), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
