Basketball Recap: Clearwater Valley Takes a Loss

Clearwater Valley lost against Prairie back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clearwater Valley Rams were dealt an 84-31 loss at the hands of the Prairie Pirates. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-17.

Despite the loss, Clearwater Valley still got an impressive performance from Eva Lundgren, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 16 points. That was a full 51.6% of Clearwater Valley's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sypress Martinez, who had seven points.

Clearwater Valley's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Prairie, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Clearwater Valley will head out to face off against Potlatch at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Prairie, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oakley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Prairie's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Oakley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
