Football Game Preview: Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes vs. Waxahachie Indians + How To Watch

The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes will challenge the Waxahachie Indians at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Duncanville sitting on nine straight wins and Waxahachie on eight.

Duncanville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Klein Collins 34-7. Considering the Panthers and Pantherettes have won nine contests by more than 19 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Duncanville's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Ayson Theus and Trenton Yancey. Theus rushed for 145 yards on only 11 carries while Yancey rushed for 108 yards on only six carries. Theus really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run.

Duncanville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Klein Collins only rushed for 51.

Meanwhile, Waxahachie was able to grind out a solid victory over Cypress Ranch on Saturday, taking the game 38-31. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Mustangs are ranked 147th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of Waxahachie's win came down to the chemistry between Jerry Meyer III and his top target Kohen Brown. Meyer III threw for 359 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Brown picked up 149 receiving yards and one score. That's the most receiving yards Brown has posted since back in September of 2024.

Duncanville's record is now 10-1. As for Waxahachie, their record now sits at 11-1.

Duncanville and Waxahachie were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in September, but Duncanville suffered an agonizing 28-27 loss. Can the Panthers and Pantherettes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
