Curry had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Haleyville Lions get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 28 matches by eight runs or more this season.
Skiely Perry looked comfortable as she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Ambrey Taylor was a standout: she fired off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ralee Dunagan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Curry hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.
Curry's win bumped their record up to 45-3. As for Haleyville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-21.
