Basketball Recap: Sand Rock Falls to Ashville in First Game of Season

Sand Rock unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 75-69 to the Ashville Bulldogs on Friday.

Ashville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dalton Rice-Thompson, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jamon Williams, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Looking ahead, Sand Rock will venture away from home to square off against Sylvania at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ashville, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Jacksonville at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
