Softball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Banks' Ninth in Last 12 Outings

Banks got themselves on the board against Corbett on Thursday, but Corbett never followed suit. They blew past the Cardinals 15-0. Considering the Braves have won seven matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Makayla Prevost was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.

Banks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corbett only posted an OBP of .400.

Banks has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Corbett, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Banks nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
