Woodland Christian won the last time they faced Mesa Verde and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Woodland Christian took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8, 25-5.

Leading Woodland Christian to victory were Bailee Broward and Mariah Johnson. Broward hit 83.3% for five kills and 12 aces and three digs, while Johnson had three digs and three aces. Those 83.3% hitting percentage gave Broward a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Woodland Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 46 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
