Basketball Game Preview: Fruitvale Bobcats vs. Cayuga Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Fruitvale Bobcats take on the Cayuga Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Fruitvale is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Fruitvale is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since February 2nd on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 victory over Union Hill.

While Cayuga didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took their match on Saturday with ease, bagging a 71-41 win over Iola. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Cayuga is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Fruitvale, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Things could have been worse for Fruitvale, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-53 loss to Cayuga in their previous meeting back in November of 2023.
