Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Champaign Central

The Centennial Chargers will challenge the Champaign Central Maroons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Centennial is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Danville get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. It was an even better day for Alaina Kimble as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Champaign Central made sure to put some goals up on the board against Urbana on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-0 victory. Champaign Central haven't had any issues with Urbana recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The victory made it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 12-10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Champaign Central, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
