Lake Park and Elk Grove are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Lancers will venture away from home to take on the Grenadiers at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Park will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

Gianna Furlano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Ariana O'Connell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run. Grace Rosario also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Elk Grove fell victim to Lane Tech and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Champions, falling 13-0. The loss put an end to the Grenadiers' undefeated start to the season.
Elk Grove saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlin Wirtz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
Having lost for the first time this season, Elk Grove fell to 2-1. As for Lake Park, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Elk Grove's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lake Park has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. It's a different story for Elk Grove, though, as they've only averaged .316. Will they be able to contain Lake Park's hitters?
Everything went Lake Park's way against Elk Grove in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Lake Park made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
