Baseball Recap: Colleton Prep Academy Triumphs

Colleton Prep Academy's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dorchester Academy Raiders, sneaking past 4-2. This was payback for the War Hawks, who suffered a 15-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Nick Martin got the start for Colleton Prep Academy and what a start it was: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

At the plate, Colleton Prep Academy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hartman Fisk, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The War Hawks are undefeated when Fisk posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

Colleton Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Colleton Prep Academy will head out on the road to square off against Thomas Heyward Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dorchester Academy, they will welcome Thomas Sumter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
