Palm Beach Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Palm Beach Gardens on Tuesday. The Palm Beach Central Broncos blew past the Palm Beach Gardens Gators 8-1. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

Charlie Houd tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tre Stropp was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Patricio Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Palm Beach Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
