Smiths Station kept a clean sheet against Opelika on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Opelika Bulldogs. Mariella Eli had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Panthers.

Smiths Station is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five games. Opelika's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Smiths Station will be taking part in a tournament against Providence Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Opelika, they will head out to challenge Montgomery Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Opelika's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
