For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Vista and Westview meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 5-2. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Wolverines on Thursday, they had to take a 8-0 loss.

Brandyn Ketcher made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Vista let Xavier LaPena and Aadyn Thomason run wild. LaPena went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Thomason went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.

Vista has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Westview, their record now sits at 15-6.
