After a string of eight wins, Abundant Life's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marshall Cardinals. The Challengers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Abby Evans paced Abundant Life's offense, picking up five kills. Evans got some help from Emma Nolke and her seven assists.

Abundant Life's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Marshall, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Abundant Life didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Madison Country Day on the 25th. As for Marshall, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Belleville on the 23rd.
