Volleyball Game Preview: The Villages Charter Buffalo vs. Lake Highland Prep Highlanders

The Villages Charter is 0-4 against Lake Highland Prep since October of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. The Buffalo will face off against the Highlanders at 2:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The Villages Charter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Astronaut by a score of 3-1.

The Villages Charter had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Lake Highland Prep had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lake Highland Prep was: they took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11, 25-6.

The Villages Charter's win bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Lake Highland Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 21-6.

The Villages Charter suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lake Highland Prep when the teams last played back in September. Can the Buffalo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
