Volleyball Recap: South Davidson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South Davidson lost against Gray Stone Day back in November of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-19.

Rose Sommer paced South Davidson's offense, picking up five kills. Sommer also shared the team's lead in assists with Payton Cook: they picked up three each. Finally, Peyton Ashby kept South Davidson's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

South Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gray Stone Day, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

South Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Walkertown on the 21st. As for Gray Stone Day, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Leadership Academy on the 21st.
