Baseball Game Preview: Windham Eagles vs. Noble Knights

The Windham Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Noble Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Windham hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

South Portland hit Windham with a 12-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Red Riots, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Noble didn't have quite enough to beat Falmouth on Saturday and fell 10-8. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Navigators: they've now lost five in a row.

Noble got a big performance out of Alec Hale, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Hale is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Ballard, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Noble now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Windham, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Windham couldn't quite get it done against Noble in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 6-2. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
