Crab Orchard had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Tornadoes two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Crab Orchard got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-14.

Crab Orchard's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.
