Volleyball Recap: Lone Peak Wins High-Profile Match Against Desert Hills

Lone Peak faced Desert Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Thunder 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since November 8, 2024.

Luhanna Panta was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 25 digs and three aces. Those 25 digs gave her a new career-high. Luciana Panta also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The win (which was Lone Peak's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. As for Desert Hills, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Lone Peak and Desert Hills will both be playing Skyview the next time they take the court. The Thunder will head out to face the Hawks at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
