Volleyball Game Preview: Winthrop Vikings vs. Salem Witches

The Winthrop Vikings will take on the Salem Witches at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Winthrop lost 3-0 to Danvers on Monday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Salem, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Salem Academy Charter on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Witches as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Salem took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-12.

Winthrop's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Salem, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
