Basketball Recap: Lakota East Takes a Loss

Lakota East suffered their closest loss since December 9, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Colerain Cardinals by a score of 55-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Thunderhawks came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Cardinals are ranked 382nd).

Lakota East's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Colerain, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Lakota East will square off against Springboro at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Colerain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
