Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Thomas Jefferson's tournament run continued when they took on Grandview on Friday. The Thomas Jefferson Spartans took a 64-46 bruising from the Grandview Wolves. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, Thomas Jefferson got some senior leadership from Shane Curry and Vanson Wells. Curry went 7 for 15 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds, while Wells posted ten points and seven rebounds. That was a full 45.7% of Thomas Jefferson's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Marwell Abram was another key player, putting up four points.

Thomas Jefferson's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. As for Grandview, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
