Baseball Recap: Catskill Cats vs. Rensselaer Rams
Catskill's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Rensselaer Rams. The Cats haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Austin June made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Catskill is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-7 otherwise. June was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, John McKenna was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Davies, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Catskill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Catskill's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Rensselaer, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catskill will host Ichabod Crane at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rensselaer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cairo-Durham at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
