Volleyball Recap: Nipmuc Regional Takes a Loss

Nipmuc Regional entered their game against Taunton on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Nipmuc Regional came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 26-24, 17-25, 25-22.

Haden Houachanthara paced Nipmuc Regional's offense, picking up 17 kills. Houachanthara got some help from Dolan Comforti and his 37 assists. Miguel Machado controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Nipmuc Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Taunton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4.

Nipmuc Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Taunton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Milford on the 3rd.
