West Rowan is 10-0 against Concord since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The West Rowan Falcons will take on the Concord Spiders in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. West Rowan is looking for their season's first victory.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-15, which was the final score in West Rowan's tilt against Robinson on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 161st).

Meanwhile, Concord played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 68-40 loss at the hands of Lake Norman Charter. The Spiders were down 52-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

West Rowan will need focus on slowing down Kaylin Williams, one of several Concord players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 12 points and six rebounds. Williams continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Natalie Nebrick was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

Concord's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for West Rowan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for West Rowan against Concord in their previous meeting back in February, as the team secured a 106-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Rowan since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
