Recap: West Prairie Cyclones vs. Mendon Unity Mustangs
The West Prairie Cyclones's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 67-49 to Mendon Unity. West Prairie has not had much luck with Mendon Unity recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, West Prairie saw an underclassman step up: Braden Coplan scored 21 points. The contest was Coplan's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Matt Whitman was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
West Prairie's loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-14. As for Mendon Unity, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Horizon Science Academy-Southwest the next time they take the court. Mendon Unity will host Horizon Science Academy-Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while West Prairie will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
