Football Game Preview: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. Arabia Mountain Rams

The Dunwoody Wildcats will head out to square off against the Arabia Mountain Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Dunwoody is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 35 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Decatur on Friday. They lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a 27-10 margin. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Dunwoody might have lost, but man, Cameron Irastorza was a machine: he rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown. With that strong performance, Irastorza is now averaging an impressive 101.3 rushing yards per game.

Meanwhile, Arabia Mountain was beaten by Woodward Academy 67-14 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the War Eagles are ranked 52nd).

Dunwoody's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Arabia Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Dunwoody beat Arabia Mountain 28-19 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
