De Pere is a perfect 10-0 against Notre Dame Academy since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Redbirds will face off against the Tritons at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (De Pere has five straight victories, Notre Dame Academy has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

De Pere is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Manitowoc Lincoln, who was ranked tenth at the time (De Pere was ranked eighth). The Redbirds skirted past the Ships 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Redbirds' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

De Pere saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Wettstein, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Green Bay Preble on Wednesday and fell 4-2.

De Pere's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both De Pere and Notre Dame Academy just can't seem to miss. The Redbirds have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Notre Dame Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went De Pere's way against Notre Dame Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as De Pere made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redbirds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
