Football Recap: Garland Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Garland Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Fannindel Falcons, falling 75-27. The Swordsmen lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 34-13 score last time.

Garland Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fannindel, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Garland Christian Academy will challenge Highlands at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Swordsmen will be up against the Blazers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fannindel, they will face off against Greenville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
