Baseball Preview: Lawrence County Cougars vs. Tylertown Chiefs

Lawrence County has gone a perfect 3-0 against Tylertown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lawrence County Cougars will welcome the Tylertown Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Lawrence County after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of St. Andrew's Episcopal by a score of 11-10. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caden Case was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Case was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2024.
