After a string of six wins, Canterbury's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-39 on January 4th.

Despite the loss, Canterbury still got an impressive performance from Roman Wilder, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards. Wilder is becoming a predictor of Canterbury's success: when he posts at least ten rebounds the team is 7-3 (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Lou Donnelly was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

Canterbury's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canterbury won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Foundation Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Foundation Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against St. Petersburg Catholic at 6:00 p.m.
