Basketball Recap: Sutter Comes Up Short

Sutter has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a blow against the Casa Roble Rams on Monday, falling 72-38. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Sutter still got an impressive performance from Izzy Bhatti, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 13 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Troy Bowens, who posted five points and six rebounds.

Sutter's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Casa Roble, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Sutter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-50 victory against El Camino on the 28th. As for Casa Roble, they will welcome Rio Linda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 68.35 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
