Game recap: Mead High School Football Team takes down Valley

MaxPreps Denver High School Football.

LONGMONT, Colo. - A big 46-point second quarter helped carry the Maverick to a 47-0 victory over Valley (Gilcrest, Colo.) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter, Mead led 39-0 at the half.

MHS grew its lead to 47 points entering the fourth quarter. The Longmont school scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Logan Anderson.



The Maverick avenged last year's 7-0 loss to the Vikings with the victory.

Mead (1-0) will play a non-conference game against St. Mary's next week, while Valley (0-1) will take on Bennett also in a non-conference game.
