Volleyball Recap: Saugus Extends Winning Streak to Five

Saugus had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Golden Valley Grizzlies. That's more bragging rights for the Centurions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kimora Hogains paced Saugus' offense, picking up six kills. Hogains got some help from Chasiah Omoregie and her 15 assists. Omoregie also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Valerie Mejia, racking up five apiece.

Saugus' victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Golden Valley, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Saugus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Shadow Hills on the 16th. As for Golden Valley, they will square off against Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
