Basketball Game Preview: Lewiston Tigers vs. Pawnee City Indians

The Lewiston Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Pawnee City Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lewiston is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They took a blow against Lourdes Central Catholic, falling 62-19. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-10.

Meanwhile, Pawnee City played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 54-25 loss at the hands of Sacred Heart. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Irish are ranked 35th).

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Pawnee City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Lewiston took a serious blow against Pawnee City when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 56-20. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lewiston was down 30-5.
