Softball Recap: West Point Takes a Loss

West Point lost against Madison Academy back in April of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The West Point Warriors took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Academy Mustangs.

Kara Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Katherine Yovino was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

West Point now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Madison Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

West Point will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hayden at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Madison Academy, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against New Hope at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
