Volleyball Game Preview: Fort Recovery Indians vs. Spencerville Bearcats + How To Watch

The Fort Recovery Indians will head out to square off against the Spencerville Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Fort Recovery got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They blew past New Knoxville 3-0.

Fort Recovery never let New Knoxville on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Spencerville faced off against Jefferson on Thursday. The Bearcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats. The Bearcats have beaten the Wildcats the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

Spencerville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Jefferson between 14 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-15.

Spencerville's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-11. As for Fort Recovery, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Fort Recovery beat Spencerville 2-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2016. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
