It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros as they made off with an 18-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 15 contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Alyssa Lopez was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Cassandra Medrano was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .556 or higher in four consecutive matches.
