Basketball Recap: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge needed a changed in momentum after dropping nine straight games and they got it from Gibson Roberts. The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears came out on top against the Walthill Blujays by a score of 57-47 on Friday thanks in part to Roberts, who posted 29 points along with six assists and six boards. What's more, he also racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Another player making a difference was Caleb Erwin, who scored five points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Walthill, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has already played their next match (against Hartington-Newcastle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Walthill has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Homer.
