Basketball Recap: Alexandra Eschmeyer Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat the Classical Academy

Peak to Peak won the last time they faced The Classical Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Peak to Peak Pumas managed a 34-30 win over The Classical Academy Titans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pumas.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Peak to Peak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexandra Eschmeyer, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it 21 consecutive games in which Eschmeyer has scored at least a third of Peak to Peak's points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Willmott, who posted two points and ten steals.

The Classical Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Kelsey Peterson and Emma Megahan. Peterson scored 12 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Megahan earned 11 points. What's more, Megahan also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Peak to Peak's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for The Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

Coming up, Peak to Peak will be playing at home against Elizabeth at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for The Classical Academy, they will head out to take on Holy Family at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
