Volleyball Recap: St. Paul Beats Wynot for Their Third Straight Victory

St. Paul had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Wynot Blue Devils by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Katlyn Oakley paced St. Paul's offense, picking up nine kills. Oakley got some help from Zaya Lewis and her 13 assists. Oakley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Delaney Jennings, each putting up three.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Haley Wieseler, who had 13 assists and nine digs. Wieseler is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Jordan Foxhoven was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

St. Paul's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Wynot, they moved to 18-4 with that loss, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.

St. Paul wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Norfolk Catholic on the 11th. As for Wynot, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against O'Neill on the 11th.
