Basketball Recap: Dugway Wins Going Away Against Mount Vernon

There's no place like home for Dugway, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Mount Vernon Patriots on Wednesday as the Dugway Mustangs made off with a 50-26 win. The contest marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season.

Dugway's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gary Williams Jr, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Tanner Thackeray, who had 16 points.

Dugway moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mount Vernon, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dugway will face off against Utah School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Vernon has already played their next game (against Telos), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
