Skyview is 9-1 against Thornton since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wolverines will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Skyview's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Thornton has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Skyview was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Northglenn 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolverines have posted since March 31st.

Humberto Chavez was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcelo Navarro, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Thornton's offense. They came up short against Adams City on Thursday, falling 15-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Trojans haven't been shut out since back in March.

Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Skyview, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Everything went Skyview's way against Thornton in their previous matchup on April 9th, as Skyview made off with a 23-4 victory. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
